We’ll also stop at the Bab el Mansour Gate and the lively old medina in Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities. Today we’ll explore the narrow lanes and colourful souks of the heritage-listed medina and view the impressive Karaouine Mosque, Medersa Attarine.
We’ll also visit an ancient old operation tannery, processing the hides of sheep and goat in stone vessels filled with a range of colourful dyes. [B, L]We travel to the magical ‘Rose City’, Marrakesh, via the quaint town of Beni Mellal, situated at the foot of the Middle Atlas Mountains.
