A brief description of these programs was reported in: P. Barrie, "Java Script programs to calculate thermodynamic properties using cubic equations of state", Journal of Chemical Education, 82, 958-959 (2005) DOI: 10.1021/ed082p958.
There are two Java Script programs written by Dr Barrie for calculating thermodynamic properties and equilibrium conditions.
They are designed to be educational - rather than just calculating the property, they indicate how the property is being calculated.
Barrie Gunter (1954-)was born to an English mother and Welsh father and was brought up mainly in Lincolnshire in east England.
In the 1970s, he attended what was then the University College of North Wales in Bangor to study psychology as an undergraduate, before taking a master's degree in social psychology at the London School of Economics and a Ph D in psychology at the [then] North East London Polytechnic.
Future work is likely to continue in the above areas, and also to include the thermodynamics of adsorbed mixtures. Barrie, "The mathematical origins of the kinetic compensation effect: 1. Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 14, 318-326, 2012.
